how to boost your income

In this article I will explain how to boost your income and explain the realistic and optimistic pros and cons in the situation.
Let me just add that if you are here trying to find get rich quick or quick money turn away now, there is no such thing and you will only end up losing your money or getting scammed.

De-clutter your house
This is not a long term solution but it is a nifty way to gain some cash. It is easy to think to your self "I might need this later"  9 times out of 10 you will never use it and if you do you will probably forget that you even have it and buy a new one. So now you have your little box of unwanted items how do we turn that in to cash?
The first option is Ebay, this on-line auction house has millions of people browsing for a good deal. the second option is a car boot sale, though you have to make sure you will make enough to cover  the cost of entry but that only tends to be £20 or so.

Optimistic:        You can make some extra cash
You will make extra space in your house

Realistic:           You might not sell anything

Get paid to click adds and do surveys.
If you have the patients to sit there for hours and click ad after ad for very little reward then by all means go ahead and join a PPC (pay per click) program, personally I can't stand doing it, it is just so boring.
When it come to PPC there are a lot of scams out there, before you jump in do a little research in who you can trust. The same goes for getting paid to do surveys though they do tent to pay more.
Come to think about it in doing research for this article I could not find one trustworthy  PPC website and very little PPS (pay per survey). My personal advice is would be avoid these they try and draw people in with get rich promises and end up just scamming you.

Optimistic: Easy money.

Realistic: You will get scammed.

On-line free-lance work
If you a talent in writing, design or coding putting your self up as a free lancer is a nifty way of making extra money, some people even do it for a living. Realistically thinking you are going to have to be very good to actually get a assignment, Ever heard the phrase "no matter how good you are there is always someone better than you"? There is no place where this it truer than on the free-lance battle ground. Lets say you are a designer and you put your survive on a few free-lance website, you show off all your previous work, very pretty, but what about the person next to you, he has a more impressive profile, who is the client going to chose?
Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to put you off the idea, I'm just pointing out that it will not be easy, your profile is a drop in the ocean, you have to make it stand out to get seen.
Below are a few free-lance websites:
http://www.elance.com/
http://www.peopleperhour.com/
http://www.freelanceuk.com/

Optimistic: Very good way to make extra cash or possibly make a career out of it.

Realistic: The competition is very tough, there is always someone who is better than you.

Gamble
To have money make money there has to be an element of risk, the higher the possible win the more likely you are going to lose. If you are going to consider gambling as a source of income I suggest you read my Rules of gambling post on top plenty of other research and practice.

Optimistic: Fun way of making extra income.

Realistic: It is very easy to lose all you money and get in to debt.
he advice that I give here dose not guarantee 100% win rate, the nature of gambling is fickle and rigorous research into gambling its self should be undertaken before playing any games. I am not responsible for any loss taken while using the advice given in this article.

Be a TV extra
Being a TV extra is a fun way to gain extra income. When signing up for an extra agency they will make your profile and match you to rolls that you fit into and will contact you when they have work for you. Being a TV extra is time demanding, it probably wont be possible to do with a full time job as well as that they may require you to travel a lot.
Below are some good UK extra agencies:
www.studioextras.co.uk
www.pm-global-services.com

Optimistic: Fun and interesting, few people make a career out of it.

realistic: Very time demanding and may require travel

Partake in drug tests
If you are a healthy non-smoking adult you may be eligible for drug trials. They can pay from £100 to £2000 depending  on how long the trials takes and the amount of tests taken.
When partaking in drug trials you must understand the potential risk involved, there is a mile long list of things that could go wrong, the safer side but less paying is sending your blood off for testing (which pays about £100).
For more information and drug trial sign up a advise you visit Trials4us I also advise you read there FAQ before signing up.

Optimistic: Can potentially make quite a large amount of extra cash

Realistic: You will weed to travel to test center and for longer trials may keep you there for over two weeks.     On top of that there is the unknown risk of taking the drugs.

Get a weekend job
A weekend job (assuming you work full time) will leave you no time for your self and a very large amount of what you earn will be taken to the tax man. It takes a certain type of person to be able to work seven days a week non stop, personally I cannot do it I like my free time a lot.
The most likely place you will find weekend jobs are in shops and warehouses and if you want to work the nights you do earn a little extra more.

Optimistic: Secure way of earning extra cash.

Realistic: Will leave you with virtually no time to your self, it is very tiring and demoralising.
