top ten rules of on-line gambling

If you play your cards right (pun intended) you can make profit on gambling but only if you possess good self discipline and are able to keep your cool under the high pressure of losing streaks.
on-line gambling is very different to being at the casino, for instance at home you can play in your birthday suit while at the casino you wouldn't have the privilege, you could try, but I don't think you will last long in there.

1. You will lose before you win this is where most people fail, they go through small losing streak and make a large "revenge bet" which is only more likely to more. "The house always wins" there is no truer phrase when it comes to gambling.

2. Have your game and strategy and stick to it pick two games max, personally I play poker and blackjack, because I only play those two I can concentrate working on my game plan for both of them.

3. Never bet with money you need there is no guarantee that you will win at all, as is the nature of risk:reward, if you lose your food money you don't eat for a month, sound good?

4. Stay calm this is probably the hardest rule to follow. If you go through a losing streak it is difficult not to get angry, it is in this situation where you make "revenge bets" and lose everything.

5. Be logical not emotional say you are playing poker and you have a 2/7 (regarded as the worst hand for those of you who don't know) but you feel that you will win, Whoa there dawgy, stop and think, are the odds against you to high? yes they are even if 3 7's appear on the flop (4 of a kind, one of the strongest hands) it is better to be safe than sorry.

6. Take your time unlike real casinos on-line you have the luxury of time to think about your situation.

7. know when to quit take you profits cut your losses.another good way to lose all your money is to get cocky, just because you are having a winning streak does not mean it will last forever, before you even begin to play any game pre-set loss targets and profit limits.

8. have enough capital and keep a log book when I say I don't mean re-mortgage your house to fund a poker game, but if you have too little money you wont have enough money to cover the lose/win swing.
quite often people will ignore how much they have lost and only focus on what they have won, you will never win if you don't accept your losses

9. practice good risk and money management are you just starting out playing casino games/poker? don't play with all your savings, you will lose it.

10. be patient and be willing to take the time to study it takes years of practice and hard work to get good, if it didn't anyone who walked into a casino would be filthy rich by the time they walked out.
remember pick your games and study them, know them inside out and know every possible situation that could occur.

I have to write this to keep my arse safe: the advice that I give here dose not guarantee 100% win rate, the nature of gambling is fickle and rigorous research into gambling its self should be undertaken before playing any games. I am not responsible for any loss taken while using the advice given in this article.
